Navigating this Website

The vision for this website was to create the largest collection of healing stories. In doing so, the idea was that an individual with similar conditions (disease, age, areas affected, length of time, etc.) would be able to search and easily find similar people to them in terms of disease progression that had healed himself or herself.

In creating this website, a number of terms were developed which should help the end user, someone searching for a solution to a health problem. This section helps by defining these key terms.

Cure: while there may be some true cures to certain diseases and conditions, the majority of treatments and therapies at best put people into a permanent remission or help alleviate major symptoms.  For purposes of this website, a cure puts the disease/condition into remission or helps alleviate the major symptoms.

Cure Story (also sometimes referred to as Healing Story or Story of Healing): is the narrative of how the individual healed himself/herself. A cure story can be written, video, audio or any combination of these. A cure story can take the form of an interview, acted dramatization or be a first hand or second hand account of how the healing took place. There are no hard and fast rules of what constitutes a Cure Story other than that is must be about a specific person. On this website, there are two types of cure stories: 1) Cure Chronicles and 2) Healing Testimonials.

Cure Chronicle: is a detailed cure story. In order for a story to qualify as a cure chronicle a Cure Chronicle Case Study Details Chart needs to be completed. The Cure Chronicle Case Study Details Chart includes more information than the Healing Testimonial Case Study Details Chart and is therefore considered more valuable than a Healing Testimonial.

As the website gets populated with many stories, Cure Chronicles will rank higher than Healing Testimonials in searches due to the fact that they provide more pertinent information.

Cure Chronicle Case Study Details Chart: is the table that gets filled in when a user selects Cure Chronicle as their story.  Case Study Details Charts are meant to provide viewers with a quick, easy to read, synopsis of the patient’s healing journey.  This allows the viewer to better ascertain whether the story is relatable to themselves or not. The Cure Chronicle Case Study Details Chart is more detailed than the Healing Testimonial Case Study Details Chart.  Below is a sample:

The Healing Testimonial Case Study Details Chart includes less information than the Cure Chronicle Case Study Details Chart and is therefore considered less valuable than a Cure Chronicle.

P.A.T.H. (Proven Alternative Therapy for Healing): is one of the primary goals for this website – to identify P.A.T.H.s for individuals suffering with health issues. In order for a therapy/product/practitioner or organization to receive the P.A.T.H. designation there must be 10,000 unique stories of healing for a particular disease/condition posted for that therapy with no harmful side effects.

Practitioner: is any health and wellness professional that works with individual patients to help them find healing.

Practitioner Profile Page: is a free customizable resource that allows practitioners to talk about what, where and how they conduct their practice. It acts as a summary for potential clients by discussing what services the healing practitioner organization offers as well as providing address, contact information as well as links to social media. Most importantly it provides a starting point for all Cure Chronicles and Healing Testimonials related to the practitioner’s health practice with a place to link back to.
